The most common Prague travel mistake is losing your final day to logistics: check-out, luggage, storage, transfers, and “we should head to the airport soon”. The fix is not complicated: decide your timing early, keep your plan compact, and remove friction.

Prague Last-Day Checklist (Practical + Realistic)

1) Morning: check-out plan

• Confirm check-out time and whether the hotel can hold luggage (some can, some can’t).
• Pack for airport movement (keep liquids, passport, chargers accessible).
• If you need flexibility, keep one small day bag only.

2) Decide: luggage storage vs. hands-free

This decision affects your entire day. If you’re dragging luggage, you’ll walk less, skip viewpoints, and keep thinking about stairs and transport.

3) Choose the right “last day” area

Pick one area and stay there. The best last-day bases have cafés, short scenic walks, and easy transport.

• Old Town: iconic but can be crowded (best early)
• Lesser Town: calmer and beautiful (great for relaxed pace)
• Riverside / parks: best for a low-stress end of trip

4) Build a simple “2–3 stop” plan

1. Scenic walk (30–45 min): one beautiful segment
2. Main stop (60–90 min): one interior / museum / castle route
3. Café reset (45–60 min): warm stop + calm
4. Bonus stop (10–20 min): quick photo/viewpoint

5) Airport timing (avoid “panic mode”)

• Decide your airport departure time before you get comfortable in the city.
• Keep a buffer for delays (transport, queues, weather).
• If you’re unsure, leave earlier rather than rushing at the end.
